“ I love me some mall chicken teriyaki and this one hits the spot. Been here twice this week. Part of a big food court, staff is friendly, a few booths inside. Food comes out really fast and tastes yummy and fresh. No complaints at all. ”

“ The food at OKI Japan is very tasty. The service is good with very little wait time. It's in the mall so there's a lot of different options to choose from. The price is fair for a large plate of teriyaki chicken. The sushi is very good for the price. It's kept clean and there's plenty of sitting inside and outside. ”

“ I usually don't expect much from a casual eatery in the food court of a mall, but I guess I should be less judgmental, considering that my family owned a sandwich shop in the food court of the defunct Long Beach Plaza in the 80's and 90's. I suspect your experience at Oki primarily depends on what you order. I was surprised by the unagi option for their bento collection, and I was further pleasantly surprised by the quality of the freshwater eel and how well it was prepared. The bento also came with wakame seaweed salad, lightly stir-friend vegetables (cabbage, carrots, broccoli), California roll, and two egg rolls. The seaweed salad was also unexpectedly good, but the vegetables were just okay. The sushi (California rolls) was rather forgettable, but I wasn't expecting to have high-quality sushi at a food court either. Service was efficient, and the customers order at the counter and pick up at the counter. No service fee was charged when I paid for my food. ”

“ Love this spot! The flavor and portions are amazing! I've never ever had trouble with order accuracy out of the probably 35x I've gotta my go to plate here except for today. I always always always get chicken x beef with white rice x noodles and extra sauce. I love that today they REALLY put extra sauce but there aren't any noodles and i know i got charged extra for them thanks still! My fav teriyaki ever, won't stop supporting but pls get the order right ”

“ Walking past this food shop, it smelled so good that I had to stop I ordered the chicken teriyaki with fried rice and veggies. Cooked to order, within minutes, I received a very generous meal that was under $10. It was very tasty! There are many choices of protein on the menu and a wide selection of other Japanese dishes. The guy behind the counter is all business...and efficient. And that's fine! ”

“ Oki Japan is very tasty and at a great price. We were there before the circus, which was on the lot and had a nice meal. It is located inside the Lakewood Center Mall. The place is small and does a lot of to go and delivery. There are some nice places to sit and the mall area right out front as a lot of seating. We had shrimp tempura and rice which was great and some sushi. The sushi was good, not great. We will have something else next time. Their beef bento box was really good and their vegetables are steamed nicely and they are super tasty. Their chicken teriyaki is excellent. The place is clean and the service is really nice and they are fast. Have fun. ”

“ A great Sarku knockoff. They do the whole chicken teriyaki on the teppanyaki grill. The flavor is pretty spot on to Sarku so if you're expecting that, you'll find it here. The one thing I especially like about this place is the portion sizes were huge! Very generous for the price. I will say the service was a bit on the slower side. But overall, a good spot. ”

“ This is a long overdue review...I forgot to do it when I was there a month ago, lol. It was not a planned trip, never been to this mall before, but had to pick up something from a store there, so we stopped in their food court for lunch. Odd little mall, felt like it was trapped in time, in the 80's or 90's! The food court wasn't like other food courts either. Everything was like an individual store/restaurant/fast food joint. Walked in to this and decided on a couple bento plates, Teriyaki chicken and shrimp tempura. I didn't have high expectations since it was the mall. It actually surprised us...wasn't bad at all! I actually thought food tasted better than Panda Express!! Ok, the vegetables were a little bland. But the shrimp tempura was very crispy and not overly greasy. The California roll was actually fairly fresh, and Egg rolls were light and crispy as well. I didn't care for the packaged sauces though... For a mall joint, it wasn't too bad. Staff were somewhat friendly and helpful to customers, and it was kept pretty clean. Don't expect high end quality, but for a quick lunch, the portions were generous and tasted decent! ”
